What is OBM?

Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) is a sub-discipline of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Application of ABA in the workplace has its beginnings in Skinner’s applications of behavioral principles to instructional design. Similar to ABA, OBM is empirically based, and makes use of scientific applications of the principles of behavior to develop and evaluate performance improvement procedures. OBM consultation differs from ABA consultation in its emphasis on improving individual and group performance within organizations (e.g., business, industry, human service, and nonprofit settings).
